ENG: The Libertarian Party is the third largest and fastest growing political party in the United States. The political platform of the Libertarian Party reflects its brand of libertarianism, favoring minimally regulated, laissez-faire markets, strong civil liberties, minimally regulated migration across borders, and non-interventionism in foreign policy, i.e., avoiding foreign military or economic entanglements with other nations and respect for freedom of trade and travel to all foreign countries.
In the 30 states where voters can register by party, there are over 225,000 voters registered with the party. Hundreds of Libertarian candidates have been elected or appointed to public office, and thousands have run for office under the Libertarian banner. The Libertarian Party has many ...

Human RightsThe Libertarian Party of West Virginia asserts that all humans are created equal, and that the rights of every sovereign individual must be respected. Human rights are inherent to all humans and must not be in any way abridged or regulated by the state except in cases where the individual has violated the rights of another sovereign individual. We see the right to be recognized as marital partners by some and not others as injustice. Thus, we feel that the policy of state-sponsored marriage is inherently inequal as it recognized only some and not others. Marriage should be viewed as ...

We exist as a third party on a national level because believers in the cause of Liberty who want to act politically, just do so. Why that should translate to actually taking political power escapes political pundits and angry individuals. It's not clear from this article which Mr. Howey is, but the notion does escape him. But it also escapes many earnest Libertarians. While I truly believe the average person is generally libertarian in their live and let live ...

A sampling of those objections could be found any day this October on Lewrockwell.com, the best-read libertarian website in the world. "Vote for Liberty by Not Voting", "Voting, A Fool's Game!", and "Libertarians Should Vote for… No One" are all recent articles by libertarians I admire, and they all make excellent points that every thoughtful libertarian sho
